Week Seven
In ACAD 103, I have learned more and more as each week went by. I remember just seven weeks ago as I was writing my first ever blog post, wondering what am I going to write about. As the weeks gone by, I looked forward to each week's blog post; it has been a great way to express myself and my thoughts throughout this course. In my first post, I mentioned how I was nervous about my new journey here at Trinity, and I am happy to say some of those nerves have gone away. Being in ACAD 103 has set a platform for success and confidence in my writing. I am not saying I love writing papers, but I do not mind them as much as I did before.
During the first day of class, I could remember feeling overwhelmed with the thought of how many papers I will have to write, I even doubted myself. Over time, Mrs. Aggen has helped tremendously, and all her comments on my paper have paid off. I enjoyed getting up in front of the class to correct the sentences up at the board; it was a great learning method. When I first started to write my papers, I struggled the most with writing how I speak, and when it was time to proofread, I overlooked those mistakes. I have gotten better and took the time to read over each sentence carefully. I will continue to use the Writer's Reference book along with my error sheet I have kept from all of my papers. All the tools and help that Mrs. Ageen has provided me, I will be sure to use in all my further assignments in school and my career.
Along with improving my writing, this course has pushed to further my motivation of wanting to succeed in my Business Management program. Before I started Trinity, I have been out of school for two years, and I forgot how much time and effort goes into it. Trying to find a happy balance between my everyday lifestyle and school has been stressful at times, but I know it will all be worth it in the end. With the help of the schedule I placed in motion, I have improved on managing my time to maintain a life outside of school. Although it is not much, the moments I get to spend with my family and friends are the moments I cherish more than ever.
It feels like time flew by, I was also a bit overwhelmed at first. But I'm feeling better now , glad to know are too! Congrats on your program!
