Week Four
For the past two weeks, I have been battling a cold that won't go away; it has been a real struggle to stay focused on my school work after a long day of work. Along with fighting a cold, I started the Business Management program Thursday night. For the next four weeks, I will be overwhelmed by the number of assignments. However, I know I will be able to get through it by taking it one day at a time. I just wish this cold would stop driving me insane!
Since I started this class, I no longer dread writing papers; I became more confident within each paper I wrote. I have taken Mrs. Aggen's advice of placing the errors I previously made into a separate folder. Between looking through my previous errors and looking through the Writers Reference, I have made fewer mistakes each week. The YouTube clips that are attached in this week's course have been another great learning tool to go over commas. I liked going over the commas that go in between interchangeable adjectives (comfortable, relaxed). For some reason, I couldn't wrap my mind around it until that YouTube clip.
Once I complete the Business Management program, I plan on creating a separate blog to continue with free writing. I have been having fun expressing myself in each week's blog. I am also looking forward to reading a book that is not part of my school assignments. I enjoy learning new words as I am reading, or how I can sit back and relax after a long day. I have a few books in mind that I cannot wait to get into!

Well I hope you feel better soon and congrats on starting your program. I started the Psychology program Thursday as well.
ReplyDeleteI also feel I am getting better at writing because of this class.
Amanda,
ReplyDeleteI know that it will be difficult to keep up with homework assignments for two courses, but you will be able to look back with confidence and say, 'I did it!' That will be such a great feeling! I remember when I graduated and had no homework to do that it felt so odd! I almost felt guilty that I wasn't on my computer or reading a textbook! I quickly got over it though--and you will too!
Good luck with your next class! I feel the same way to, when it comes to writing. I used to have so much anxiety when it came to writing papers. Now that anxiety is much less. It feels very nice.
ReplyDeleteAmanda,
ReplyDeleteYour blog was great to read and I really enjoyed it. I have faith that you will do great throughout the business program. I honestly did not look at the YouTube video for this week. After reading your blog I think I need to go and take a look at it. Maybe the video will help me like it helped you and I will build some confidence in writing as well. I'm happy that you have gained confidence in your writing; I have not been as lucky to gain such confidence.
Hello Amanda
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your business program. I also just started my psychology program and to be honest I am not as nervous as I was before taken this course. As you said, I feel now more comfortable and relaxed about doing a research paper or any writing. I think I will try to read a book for fun too after this class to keep improving in my writing.
